Gogobeans was a cloud-based digital asset sharing platform — the intersection of Facebook, Dropbox, and Evernote — enabling seamless sharing of digital assets across all devices. Secured seed and Series A funding, grew the team to ten employees.

• Sole founder — created the company, secured seed and Series A funding, grew to ten employees
• Designed software architecture using Ruby on Rails / MySQL with agile/scrum methodology
• Created wireframes and UI for both web and mobile; led engineering to balance functionality and feasibility
• Client-server design using RESTful APIs for mobile deployment and partner integration

Responsible for marketing messaging around AOL Wireless' predictive text input solution for mobile handsets (T9). T9 Text Input was the global standard embedded on over 70% of all mobile handsets worldwide — giving the 9 keys on a wireless phone the power of a full QWERTY keyboard.

AOL Wireless distributed the most-penetrated handset-embedded product in the world (T9 Predictive Text) and the majority of mobile instant messaging traffic globally (AOL Mobile AIM).

• Led product launch of Navigator — a new mobile software product
• Acquired national mobile carrier beta customers including Telstra
• Identified strategic technologies for licensing as part of an ecosystem and reselling strategy
• Conducted technical evaluations and negotiated licensing terms
• Developed long-term strategic products and services initiatives

Spearheaded a commercial initiative to become a market leader in the international telephony wholesaling segment — bridging legacy telephony networks with next-generation SIP/H.323-based networks. Published in the IEEE Journal.

• Developed a corporate unified wireless strategy based on SIP and next-generation intelligent network architecture
• Managed a trial deployment of an SIP-based enterprise VPN solution to a major carrier in the US and Mexico

Clarent Corporation was a leading provider of IP telephony solutions and considered the leader in the VoIP space during this tenure.
